Step 2: Field Scale

• Symptoms are distributed in an even pattern across the field
• Affected areas appear stunted with varying stages of development
• Heavy amounts of oat residue are found throughout the field, less apparent in areas with good growth
• A gradient of impact is observed from each of the affected areas
• You pace off the infected area and notice that it is about 12 feet wide, distance between infected areas appear to be approximately 24 feet
