Transformation with Agrobacterium

There are a number of methods for inserting transgenes into plant cells. Two of the main methods are: 

• Gene gun, which is the method used in Dr. Parrott’s transformation lab

• Agrobacterium

In the following video Shirley Sato, a plant transformation specialist, uses agrobacterium transformation method to get transgenes into soybean cells.
