- Corn planted in four rows between hop poles
- Rows 1 and 4 line up along old rills (furrows)
- Drip lines are between rows 1 and 2, and 3 and 4
- Rows 2 and 3 are often wetter compared to rows 1 and 4
- Broadcast application of nitrogen through drip system
- Post-emergence application of glyphosate
Previous years
- Two years ago, the field was converted from an active hop yard with rill irrigation to drip irrigation
- Last year, the field was left fallow
